2 September 2010

Every year when September settles in,this book becomes my sanctuary of dreams and makes me travel with some kind of osmosis through it's pages to another world. This still remains the most beloved book for me and one that has shaped me to the extent that it has become an obsession.

''Does such a thing as "the fatal flaw," that shadowy dark crack running down the middle of a life, exist outside literature? I used to think it didn't. Now I think it does. And I think that mine is this: a morbid longing for the picturesque at all costs.''
